How it works

    Enrol

    The phone is enrolled in the right programme at activation, from the agent's app.

  2. 02

    Remind

    Before the due date the customer gets SMS and in-app reminders; after it, a grace period runs.

  3. 03

    Lock and unlock

    The device locks when the grace period ends and unlocks the moment the payment is recorded.

Common questions

What does the customer see when the phone is locked?

A full-screen message in their language with the amount due and how to pay. Emergency calls stay available.

What if the device is offline when it should lock?

The lock command is queued and applied as soon as the phone reconnects. Tampering attempts are reported.

Does this comply with Google's device financing requirements?

Yes. cellKi uses manufacturer-backed and Google-approved locking mechanisms, not side-loaded workarounds.
